How To Fix 12002-1 Error Code in Office 365

Repair Difficulty : Critical

Step 1: Disable Firewall

For Microsoft Windows 7 and later

1) Open Control Panel Window (Click Start Office Error Code 12002-1 Office 365 img4 and press “Control Panel” Button on Right Side)

2) In Control Panel , type firewall in the search box and click on Windows Firewall.

3) Tap On “Turn Windows Firewall on or off”

Note: You will need Admin rights to disable firewall.

4) Under “Home or Work Network Location Settings” And “Public Network Location Settings” Click On “Turn Off Windows Firewall”

Note: Please Activate Windows Firewall after Office 365 installation is complete.

Step 2: Check Proxy Setting

1) Goto Control Panel.
Microsoft Windows 7 : Click Start and then Select Control Panel from Right window.
Windows 8 : Press Windows Key + Q and Type “Control” And Click on it.
2) Click On “Internet Options” In Control Panel .
3) Click On Connections Tab and then Press LAN Setting.

4) Uncheck “Use a proxy server for your LAN” if its switched ON.

Step 3: Temporarily Disable Antivirus

– Open Your Antivrus software
– Disable it till the Office 365 repair is going on. Check vendor website for more details.

Step 4: Try the installation again
